The work or volunteer service I got involved in was peer leading, I was able to help students in there study to figure out their path for school. Whether it be for high school or even beyond that. I got involved in it on a whim, one of my case managers for Denver Urban Scholars approached me and asked me if I would be interested. At first I wasn’t entirely sure if I’d enjoy it, but in the end I really enjoyed my time working there. The people were nice and the students were actually pleasan’t to get to know. Some of the challenges of doing this work was having to improvise intensely, I’ve never had to improvise that quickly before. And it really helped me learn a valuable skill in the end. Some of the highlights of this, were being able to help someone. I managed to help students through their problems and fears they may have for the future. I was able to provide a resource to help students. What I gained from this experience is a few valuable skills. Some challenges I had to face were
